Vikings end training camp with a 'terrible' practice

Published Aug. 13, 2015 12:18 p.m. ET

The Minnesota Vikings concluded their training camp in Mankato on Thursday, but they did not end on a high note. Head coach Mike Zimmer described the final practice as "terrible," according to Matt Vensel of the Star-Tribune, and said there was nothing he liked about it.

Chris Tommason of the Pioneer Press had more on the Vikings' poor practice, noting that he'd never seen such an angry version of Zimmer.

The Vikings finished 7-9 in Zimmer's first season as head coach. He seems to be serious about winning, but is his team buying in?

It'll be interesting to see how the team responds on Saturday night, when the Vikings take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for their second matchup of the 2015 preseason.
