New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz is a super-cool dude who had his friends’ best interests in mind.

As you can see below, Cruz made his pals walk the line to take a sobriety test early Sunday morning after leaving Club Opus located in New York City.

Cruz told a couple of guys to “walk three steps” to show that they were sober. While we’re not sure if Cruz was convinced, he certainly called attention to the rest of the guys to watch out for their friends.

The Giants played later on Sunday against the New York Jets. Fortunately, Cruz, who surely didn’t get much sleep that night after partying, didn’t play due to his nagging calf injury.

Cruz is clearly an awesome guy, and this is a good reminder to be safe and always find a designated driver or use a transportation service. Let’s hope we see Cruz back on the field soon.
