Update on Aldon Smith's Potential Reinstatement

Aldon Smith will meet with Roger Goodell or a high-ranking NFL official to state his case for reinstatement.
On Sunday morning before the Raiders game, Ian Rapoport tweeted that Aldon Smith had done all of his meetings and even extended his stint in rehab by an additional 60 days and that he wanted to meet with Roger Goodell, but that nothing had been planned yet.
Just one day later, it looks like that meeting will happen.

Not only that, but according to Pro Football Talk, Aldon will be ready to play as soon as he is reinstated.

So if reinstatement does happen prior to Thursday’s game in Kansas City, perhaps we’ll see Aldon Smith take the field. The Raiders defense could certainly use his help, and the same could be said for Mario Edwards Jr., who returned to practice on Monday.
