10. The Falcons Slammer

If you have been drinking in the south, you would know there are a few staple drinks that are must, and Southern Comfort is one of them! This drink incorporates the spiced taste of Southern Comfort with the iconic Georgia peach. Even the Patriots fans will be cheering for Atlanta after this.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 ounces peach schnapps

1/2 ounce Southern Comfort

Splash Maraschino cherry juice

4 ounces orange juice

Maraschino cherry (garnish)

Canned peaches

Directions:

In a tall, ice-filled glass, combined Southern Comfort, peach schnapps, Maraschino juice and orange juice. Stir in a circular motion or shake twice if you have a shaker available. Garnish with a cherry and a sliced peach.

9. The After-Dark Lemonade

This adult-style lemonade is for the crowd. Make it in a large punch bowl or pitcher, and your guests will be refilling their glasses all night. Buy an extra gallon of lemonade for the kiddies and let them enjoy the fun.

Ingredients:

Peach Schnapps

Gallon Lemonade

Lemon slices (garnish)

Directions:

There are no strict measurements, as this beverage is usually made in bulk. Just follow the simple 1-to-2 ratio when pouring; one part peach schnapps to two parts lemonade. Chill for an hour. Before serving, scatter lemon slices on top.

8. The Big Texan

Everything is bigger in Texas! That catchphrase was the forefront of this drink recipe, especially with the Super Bowl rolling into town. Not to mention, everything is better with tequila.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 ounce tequila

1 ounce orange juice

1/2 ounce pineapple juice

Splash Sprite

Fruit (garnish)

Directions:

This recipe is best with a cocktail shaker. If you don’t have a shaker, you can easily use two glasses; pour in and out from one glass to another. Fill your shaker with ice and then add the tequila, orange juice, and pineapple juice. Shake. Strain the mixture into another glass with ice and then add a splash of Sprite. Garnish with fruit.

7. The Spiked Fruit Punch

This delicious fruit punch can be served in a pitcher, bowl or single glass. It’s for the ones who prefer the festivities over the actual Super Bowl. It will make your guests feel like they’re on a warm beach with their toes in the sand.

Ingredients:

1/2 ounce dark rum

1/2 ounce coconut liqueur

1/4 ounce 151 proof rum

Juice of half a lemon

4 ounces of pineapple juice

Directions:

This recipe is very complicated; pour everything into your ice filled glass and stir. Garnish with your favorite fruit; I usually use pineapples and strawberries. If you’re making this for a crowd, just double or triple your measurements.

6. The Firecracker

This one is a mock-tail specifically for the kids or, anyone who doesn’t drink. I was trying to think of a way to incorporate both Super Bowl team colors. I immediately thought of my favorite childhood ice pop, the firecracker. This tri-color drink will impress guests of all ages.

Ingredients:

Sprite (I used Sprite Zero so it wasn’t too sweet)

Blue juice (I use Gatorade)

Cranberry juice

Directions:

Be sure all your beverages are very cold. Prep a few glasses with ice. Keep in mind this drink needs to be served immediately. The goal is to create layers in the drink; red, white and blue. When pouring your liquids into the glass, pour directly onto the ice for your layers to develop properly. Pouring around the edges won’t create a tri-color effect.

First start with the cranberry juice. Fill the glass about a third of the way. Then pour your blue component another third; remember to pour over the ice. Finally, top with Sprite.

5. The Patriot

This is a refreshing beverage. It’s nice and light after eating fried Super Bowl foods all night. And, you’ll be showing your Patriots pride while drinking it.

Ingredients:

Blueberry vodka

Club Soda

Blueberries

Directions:

First, you need to muddle some blueberries; it’s just a fancy word for smash! If you don’t have a muddler, a rough chop works just as well. Once the blueberries are muddled, fill your glass with ice. Pour two ounces of blueberry vodka over the ice and fill the rest of the glass with seltzer water. Stir this drink; don’t shake!

4. Not Your Mama’s Jell-O

If you have ever been to a tailgate with me, you know I am famous for my Jell-O shots. But, in honor of the Super Bowl, these shots will be made to represent each team. Let your guests support their team by slinging back their favorite teams color.

Ingredients:

Coconut rum (I use Malibu but, any clear liquor can be used)

Strawberry Jell-O

Blueberry Jell-O (If you can’t find blueberry, food coloring works just as well)

Disposable shot glasses

Directions:

You can follow the directions on the back of the Jell-O box and substitute one cup of rum for the cold water. Usually, it will be one cup of boiling water, one cup of rum and a Jell-O packet. Fill shot glasses and refrigerate for at least four hours.

3. The Kick-Off

Your Super Bowl party should be fun and exciting. Which, is why this recipe was inspired by a childhood classic, the Shirley Temple. And, your guests won’t be giving away their cherries!

More from The Jet Press

    Ingredients:

    Southern Comfort

    Ginger-ale

    Maraschino cherry

    Directions:

Before you make the drink, you’re going to want to marinate cherries in a bowl of Southern Comfort. Throw some jarred cherries in a bowl; stem and all, and completely cover with alcohol and refrigerate for 24 hours.

In a chilled or ice-filled glass, combine ginger ale, and one and a half ounces of Southern Comfort. Shake or stir and top with and two or three cherries that you previously marinated.

    2. The Belichick Bomb

Sticking with the Super Bowl theme, I wanted to incorporate beer. But, I hate beer, and it’s boring. I took one of Boston’s favorite lagers and mixed it with a southern classic.

    Ingredients:

Samuel Adams (I prefer a darker lager)

    Southern Comfort

    Directions:

Pour about half of a can of Samuel Adam’s into a chilled glass; don’t fill the glass more than halfway. In a shot glass, pour the Southern Comfort. When your guests are ready to drink, have them drop the shot into the glass of beer and chug!

    1. The Sour Fan

This shot is inspired by the infamous Whisky Sour. It also comes with a fun game. Pour a bunch of shots and leave them until one team scores a touchdown. If the Patriots score a touchdown, the Falcons fans must take a shot and vice versa; hence the name the Sour Fan.

    Ingredients:

    2 ounce bourbon

    1 ounce lemon juice

1 ounce simple syrup (it’s easy to make; one part water to one part sugar and boil)
