Tom Coughlin: We have to get Rueben Randle involved tonight

After finishing 2014 with career highs in receptions and yards, New York Giants wide receiver Rueben Randle has been nonexistent so far in 2015. He only has seven total targets. If head coach Tom Coughlin gets his way, Randle's involvement in the offense is about to take a big spike on Thursday night.

"Offensively, have to use all of our talents. Rueben (Randle) has to get involved," Coughlin told Giants reporters, per Giants.com. We got (Shane) Vereen involved, but we have to get Rueben involved."

Earlier this week, Randle told Giants beat reporter Ohm Youngmisuk that he expects to play in the slot more on Thursday night.

The Giants released slot wide receiver Preston Parker earlier this week, and on Wednesday they ruled Victor Cruz out for Thursday night. Dwayne Harris is expected to take the majority of snaps in the slot, but Randle could also mix in. In the Giants' offensive scheme, the slot wide receiver is often the first or second read, so this would be an excellent way to get Randle more involved.
