Tom Brady: 'We've always had a hard time beating' the Giants
The New England Patriots' next opponent on their Deflategate revenge tour comes in the form of a familiar Super Bowl foe: the New York Giants.
The Giants are the only team that's found a way to beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl over the course of the past decade, upsetting them on two separate occasions.
Now, the Patriots pay the Giants a visit at MetLife Stadium and are looking to beat the team that stopped them from winning two additional Super Bowls. However, just as it's been in the past, it won't be an easy win by any means.
"We’ve always had a hard time beating these guys one way or another," Tom Brady said with a laugh Monday on The Dennis and Callahan Show on WEEI. "So hopefully we can get over our struggles and finally go out and play well and beat them."
"Struggles" isn't a word often associated with the Patriots in 2015, though they did show some flaws on Sunday. In addition to losing scat back Dion Lewis for the year due to a torn ACL, the Patriots struggled in the red zone.
The Giants will certainly have their hands full on Sunday, but the absence of Lewis should prove to be a big factor. Sunday's battle between cross-conference rivals will be fun to watch.
