Titans name Russ Grimm OL coach
Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Mularkey is bringing in a Hall of Famer in an effort to improve the team's struggling offensive line.
On Monday, the Titans announced the hiring of Russ Grimm as the team's new offensive line coach. A Hall of Fame lineman from his playing days with the Washington Redskins, Grimm has 21 years of coaching experience with the Redskins, Pittsburgh Steelers and Arizona Cardinals.
Mularkey and Grimm previously worked together in Pittsburgh in 2010, but Grimm hasn't coached in the NFL since 2012 with the Cardinals.
Grimm will be charged with improving a Titans' offensive line that led the NFL with 54 sacks allowed in 2015. He replaces Bob Bobstad, who was let go after the season.
In addition to Grimm, the Titans also announced the hiring of Deshea Townsend as secondary coach, along with Steve Jackson as assistant secondary coach.
