Titans hoping to build off win with Panthers up next

As the Titans enjoy their 34-28 overtime victory against New Orleans, interim coach Mike Mularkey is hoping the win serves as springboard for his team.

Tennessee had lost six in a row prior to beating the the Saints on Sunday.

“It was really big for the organization, that win,’’ Mularkey said, per the team's official website. “ I think we all needed something positive, and the players really deserve it…It’s good for them.

"The players played with great effort, and with the physical nature we want to have here…We’ve now shown that we can win if we do things in specific ways – if they practice the way we practice, if we rallied together like we did. We need that.”

With the losing streak finally over, the Titans hope to carry over over their strong performance this week against another tough NFC South opponent in the undefeated Carolina Panthers.
