Could Ndamukong Suh be headed for another fine or a possible suspension? That could be the case as the NFL investigates a play where Suh clubbed Cardinals offensive lineman Eric Winston in Week 2 in the back of the head. NFL on FOX rules analyst Mike Pereira discusses the incident on The Peter Schrager Podcast.

Pereira also dives into how he became a fan of football and his break into NFL officiating. During his college years, Pereira jumped at the chance to officiate Pop Warner football in Palo Alto and eventually worked his way into becoming the NFL’s vice president of officiating. Pereira also talked about his personal relationships with today’s officials and says that Gene Steratore is the new fan favorite.

Deadspin sports media reporter John Koblin stops by to talk investigative stories at Gawker Media and how they go about hunting down big scoops. Koblin describes how the sausage is made in some of sports’ biggest scandals of the past five years.
