The Chargers added a former MLS goalkeeper to kick for them

Josh Lambo was released by FC Dallas over three years ago. Finally, he's latched on with another football team.
It's just not the kind of football he planned on playing. It's American football.
The Texas A&M placekicker latched on with the San Diego Chargers in his second act in athletics. In a past life, Lambo played on the U-17 and U-20 national teams.
Here he is in warm-ups for FC Dallas, the club that took him eighth overall in the 2008 MLS SuperDraft.
But his tenure with the club was ill-fated. He broke his jaw and never made a club appearance before his release in 2011, and that's when he turned his attention to the gridiron.
He started for Texas A&M the last two years, going 20-for-24 on field goal attempts and 105-106 on extra points in his college career.
He went undrafted last weekend, but judging by the leg he shows in this profile, Lambo could easily stick on an NFL roster.
