Tell opposing QBs: Josh Norman gives even more than he takes
There's not much that needs to be said about the type of talent that Josh Norman is on the football field. His play basically speaks for itself, but something that you don't hear much about are the things that the star cornerback for the Carolina Panthers does off the field.
In a recent interview with David Newton of ESPN, the news came out that Norman made an incredible donation to Jacobs Chapel Baptist Church in memory of his grandfather, whom he attended the church with.
Via Newton of ESPN:
"I wasn’t expecting that one," Pastor Jerry Brown told ESPN.com on Tuesday. "One of my officers came to me and said, 'I have a surprise for you. Josh has blessed the church.' I said, 'What are you talking about?' He said, 'Well, he gave us a generous donation.'
"When he showed me the check I almost fell in the floor."
It's pretty amazing, but it also doesn't stop there. Newton also reported that Norman donated $10,000 to one of his childhood friends who is going through a battle with leukemia currently.
While Norman creates headlines by causing headaches for opposing quarterbacks and wide receivers, it's pretty great to see him in the headlines for the things that he's doing away from the field.
