Taylor misses practice with concussion

Published Jan. 19, 2011 12:00 a.m. ET

New York Jets linebacker Jason Taylor missed practice Wednesday because of a concussion he sustained against New England, but has been cleared by doctors to play in the AFC championship game Sunday night.

Coach Rex Ryan said Taylor was injured at some point during the Jets' 28-21 win at New England last Sunday, and felt the effects of it later that night. Ryan says he expects Taylor to practice Thursday after he passed medical tests and is ''ready to roll.''

Wide receiver-kick returner Brad Smith (groin) missed the game against the Patriots, but has practiced on a limited basis.

Also limited, but expected to play are: cornerbacks Darrelle Revis (hamstring) and Drew Coleman (knee), safety James Ihedigbo (right knee/ankle).
