Steelers' Clark hit with $15K fine

Four players were fined $15,000 each by the NFL on Wednesday for actions in last weekend's games.
Pittsburgh Steelers safety Ryan Clark was fined for unnecessary roughness. Clark hit Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski late and out of bounds during Pittsburgh's 25-17 victory over New England last Sunday.
Another safety, Antrell Rolle of the New York Giants, was docked for making a horse-collar tackle on Miami's Reggie Bush at the end of a 35-yard run in the second quarter. He was penalized on the play.
Rolle was fined $20,000 for spearing Washington tight end Fred Davis in the first game of the season.
San Francisco defensive end Justin Smith roughed quarterback Colt McCoy of Cleveland and it cost him $15,000. He struck McCoy in the head and neck area.
Rams LB Bryan Kehl got his $15,000 fine for unnecessary roughness against New Orleans.
Also fined Friday was Houston Texans offensive tackle Duane Brown for throwing a punch at Jacksonville linebacker Clint Session. He was cited for unnecessary roughness. Brown claimed he was trying to avoid falling when his left hand hit Session in the stomach, but was docked $7,500.
Session sacked quarterback Matt Schaub on the play and Schaub lost a fumble. Houston won the game 24-14.
Giants DT Linvale Joseph was fined for a late hit after the team stopped Steve Slaton on a first-and-goal run from the New York 1. He also was penalized.
