Sources: Chargers WR Keenan Allen out vs. Chiefs

The San Diego Chargers will be without the services of one of their most productive playmakers against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Wide receiver Keenan Allen, who has been listed as doubtful this week, will not play in Sunday's game, sources told FOXSports.com.
Allen didn't play last week against the San Francisco 49ers as he has been dealing with a broken collarbone. Allen, though, was holding out hope he'd be able to go in this pivotal Week 17 matchup.
Running back Ryan Mathews was ruled out on Friday with an ankle injury. Quarterback Philip Rivers has reportedly been playing with a bulging disk in his lower back that might require offseason surgery.
To make matters worse, the Chargers could be starting their fifth center this season with Chris Watt being listed as questionable. To reinforce their offensive line, the Chargers promoted center Jeff Baca from the practice squad and placed punter Mike Scifres on season-ending injured reserve.
The Chiefs, of course, will be starting backup quarterback Chase Daniel after it was revealed Alex Smith had lacerated his spleen last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
With a win on Sunday, the Chargers would be postseason bound for the second straight season.
