Should the Broncos reunite Peyton Manning and Reggie Wayne?
Reggie Wayne claims "several teams" are interested in bringing him back for a 15th season.
He never said the Broncos were one of them. But general manager John Elway has to consider the 36-year-old veteran because of the player he still has under center.
Peyton Manning is more familiar with Wayne than any other receiver not named Marvin Harrison. The duo has accounted for 67 career touchdown tosses -- more than twice as many as the nearest Bronco. That kind of experience is invaluable for a team in transition like Denver is.
Additionally, Wayne is the same age Brandon Stokley was when Elway brought him in before the 2012 season. Stokley caught five touchdowns that season.
That signing proves Elway is willing to add whatever pieces Manning needs to feel comfortable. This season, that piece might ultimately be Reggie Wayne.
