Should the Broncos make a run at Russell Wilson in 2016?

Russell Wilson will probably strike a long-term deal with his Seattle Seahawks. He’ll probably become the highest-paid player in football.
Denver still needs to be prepared on the off chance neither of those events come to pass, according to Broncos blog Predominantly Orange. They need to put the full-court press on the player who handed them a crushing Super Bowl defeat just two seasons ago.
General manager John Elway is set to work with a ton of cap space in 2016. And his financial freedom will only increase if their current franchise quarterback, Peyton Manning, calls it a career after 2015 as some expect.
Adding Wilson would represent the ultimate coach-player marriage. Gary Kubiak’s offense calls for a quarterback who can make plays outside the pocket. A 39-year-old Manning might struggle in that department. Wilson flourishes there.
The Broncos could easily duplicate Wilson’s current winning environment. Like the Seahawks, Kubiak is committed to the run game. Wade Phillips coordinates a scary defense. And the fans are just as loud, loving, and ferocious in Denver.
Brock Osweiler is an unknown commodity. But all NFL fans know what Wilson is — a star, a playmaker, and a potential leader of future Broncos playoff runs.
