"Thursday Night Football" is usually a poopfest, as Richard Sherman has said, but this week it gave us the most fascinating play of the season.

The Seattle Seahawks were up by three touchdowns when punter Jon Ryan tried a fake punt and ran for 33 yards before bobbling the ball, recovering and getting knocked out cold by the Rams' Troy Hill.

“He got a concussion, so we’re going to check him out and take him to the hospital and all that,” coach Peter Carroll told reporters after the game. “He was pretty loopy, so it’s unfortunate.”

Not too loopy to celebrate the Seahawks' NFC West title from his hospital bed.
