Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch provided a warm gesture to the family of a high school football player who was the victim of a fatal shooting last month.

Lynch, currently recovering from abdominal surgery, sent a customized Seahawks jersey to the mother of Jaulon Clavo, a senior at Grant High School who was shot hours before a playoff game on Nov. 13 in Sacramento, Calif.

Clavo and four teammates had left the school's campus to get something to eat and were on their way back when the shooting occurred about a mile from the high school.

Quan Thompson, a college teammate of Lynch at the University of California and an alumnus of Grant High, posted on his Facebook timeline once he learned Lynch had reached out to the family of Clavo.

Thompson, who played for the Denver Broncos in 2010, praised the actions of Lynch in the posting, which included photos of family members posing with the personlized jersey.
