The Seahawks are seeking a third straight Super Bowl appearance.

But according to Sports Illustrated's Peter King, that dream scenario may not work out.

King points to the uncertainty in the secondary that could be the Seahawks downfall in 2015.

Earl Thomas missed preseason action recovering from offseason shoulder surgery and will have had limited practice time without any restrictions. However, the coaching staff believes he'll be "ready to go" in Week 1.

No Kam Chancellor (contract holdout) and no Byron Maxwell (left in free agency) has paved the way for Dion Bailey and offseason addition Cary Williams to move into the starting unit, along with rookie Tye Smith at nickelback.

It's something to take note of, considering the Seahawks secondary has built a reputation as "The Legion of Boom."

Starting in Week 1, though, "The Legion of Boom" will look a lot different.
