Saints agree to terms with free agent LB Ingram

The New Orleans Saints have agreed to terms on a one-year contract with free agent linebacker Clint Ingram.

General Manager Mickey Loomis announced the deal Wednesday, but didn't provide details.

Ingram, a 2006 third-round draft pick by Jacksonville, has played his entire four-year career with the Jaguars, appearing in 56 regular-season games with 46 starts. The 6-2, 240-pound linebacker has 331 tackles (193 solo) with 5 sacks, two interceptions and one fumble recovery.

He appeared in two postseason games following the 2007 regular season, making 14 tackles (nine solo) with a pass defense.

Ingram appeared in 13 games in 2009 for Jacksonville and finished tied for third on the club with 77 tackles (47 solo), one sack and one fumble recovery.
