Running back Kerwynn Williams emerging in training camp

With Andre Ellington and rookie David Johnson on the sidelines nursing hamstring injuries, Kerwynn Williams is getting all the first-team reps he can handle.
It's clear to head coach Bruce Arians now that Williams is taking advantage of the opportunity.
“He’s the best one we’ve got right now (among the healthy backs),” Arians said.
Williams was signed to the Cardinals practice squad last season, but filled in towards the end of the season with injuries depleting the team's backfield. He recorded 53 carries for 246 yards (4.6 yards per carry), including a 100-yard game against the St. Louis Rams.
Originally drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in 2013, Williams is also competing against Stepfan Taylor and Marion Grice for the third running back spot on the roster.
