Roster cuts represent a difficult time for many players around the NFL. This week, the New York Giants said good-bye to several players. Most players believe the New York franchise is second to none in how it treats its players. That sentiment is often put to the test when someone gets cut. Let’s see some updates on social media.

By all accounts, Andre Williams was a good teammate. But sometimes that isn’t enough to make the roster. According to his draft profile on NFL.com, “Much of his production is blocked for him — produced many runs of 20-plus yards untouched. Is not dynamic or creative and makes few tacklers miss. Can do a better job selling routes and settling into soft spots in zones. Minimal receiving production — 10 career catches.”

Despite losing weight this off season, Williams still has these limitations.

The practice squad represents a second chance for many players. Safety Andrew Adams was cut on Sept. 3, and then resigned to the Giants’ practice squad two days later. The practice squad was announced in this statement was released by the team on Sept. 5.

Many thought Andrews distinguished himself in training camp this season. It would not be a surprise to see him on the varsity later this season.
