Roman Harper gets some advice from Kobe Bryant before playoffs begin

If there's anyone who Roman Harper would have hoped to get some advice from before the Carolina Panthers get set for the 2015 NFL playoffs, it would likely have been Los Angeles Lakers' star Kobe Bryant. Fortunately, that's exactly what happened to Carolina's safety.

When the Lakers played the Charlotte Hornets in Charlotte on Monday, Harper got the chance to meet Bryant and talk with him for a bit.

“I got to meet Kobe Bryant last night, so I’m riding high,” Harper said. “I haven’t had many days better than that. I’m good.”

“He’s the Black Mamba,” Harper said. “What else is there to say? He’s one of the greatest of all-time, if not the greatest. The best I’ve ever seen with my own eyes. I was just really excited about it. Had the opportunity to meet him and having him come out and take time out of his day to talk to not only me, but some of my other teammates, was really cool.”

“One thing that he did implement was really about he’s watched us and just to go out there do it, man,” Harper said. “Don’t go this far and don’t settle for anything, and just go out there and finish it and go do it. Coming from the Black Mamba, I say we’ve got to go do that.”

When the Black Mamba tells you to go out and get the job done, you just go do it. We've seen Bryant win five NBA championships in his career, so the man knows a little bit about winning big games. Will Harper and the Panthers be able to turn things around after their first loss of the 2015 season? Fans are hoping that it's a quick bounce back, as Week 17 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers won't be a walk in the park.
