Roddy White says more team waits, more it'll cost to sign Julio Jones

With Julio Jones heading into the final year of his contract, he hasn't turned his focus away from the field in the slightest, which is great news for the Atlanta Falcons. On top of that, the team recently saw both Dez Bryant and Demaryius Thomas get paid $14 million per year, essentially setting the market for Jones.
So, Jones should have a deal coming soon, right? Well, it seems as though the sense around the team is that a deal will get done sooner than later, but there hasn't been much in terms of talks yet. One player who has a strong feeling on the situation is wide receiver Roddy White, according to Josina Anderson of ESPN.
#Falcons WR Roddy White 2 me: "If I was the GM I would get a deal done with Julio (Jones) now. I want to make sure he’s paid. That’s my guy"

White has always been a big fan of Jones', and you can tell that the two really have a solid friendship. It's pretty cool to see the veteran receiver stepping up and making a statement for the young superstar.
