Report: WR Terrelle Pryor worked out for Patriots, no signing imminent
When the Cleveland Browns cut Terrelle Pryor, it seemed as though his switch to wide receiver was deemed a failure. However, that may not be the case.
According to Rand Getlin of NFL Network, Pryor worked out for the New England Patriots on Monday, although no signing is imminent.
Bill Belichick and the Patriots could be the perfect fit for Pryor. Belichick has a knack for getting the most out of players, especially ones that don't have specific, set-in-stone roles. For example, the Patriots traded for hybrid tight end/offensive lineman Michael Williams this offseason knowing Belichick could find a good fit for him.
The Patriots could use help at wide receiver given Brandon LaFell's injury, which may be why they brought in Pryor for a workout. A deal may not be imminent, but it's worth watching.
