Report: Seahawks, Wilson 'closer to an extension than some believe'

Quarterback Russell Wilson and the Seahawks have been trying to work out a contract extension for months. It was reported that the sides were millions apart. 

When Wilson did not attend Seahawks OTAs, many assumed it was because of a contract holdout. When in actuality he was attending a funeral. Now that those rumors are cleared up, there are reports that the two sides may not be as far off as many people think. 

Rob Rang of CBSSports and SeahawkFootball.com writes that the Seahawks and Wilson could be close to an extension. 

The Seahawks would love to get this extension out of the way so it does not become a distraction as they start the regular season.
