Report: Nick Saban told Packers to 'take game away' from Eddie Lacy
With running back Eddie Lacy struggling to make a consistent impact this year, the Green Bay Packers turned to his college coach for advice.
Alabama's Nick Saban, who coached Lacy from 2010-2012, said the only way to get through to the burly ball-carrier is to "take the game away from him," according to ESPN's Ed Werder.
Lacy missed curfew the night before Green Bay's Week 13 matchup with the Detroit Lions. His role was drastically reduced in that game, as he received just five handoffs and finished with only four rushing yards.

Lacy, 25, can still be a productive running back, as evidenced by his more focused outings this season. Before the setback against the Lions, he had eclipsed 100 yards rushing in two consecutive outings.
Although this season has been disappointing, there's still a lot of faith that Lacy can bounce back after racking up over 1,100 rushing yards in each of his first two seasons in the league.
