Report: New Minnesota Vikings stadium is 53 percent complete

Minnesota Vikings executive vice president of public affairs and stadium development Lester Bagley is pleased with the construction of the team's new stadium, according to Sid Hartman of the Star Tribune.
"The Vikings ownership delivered what we promised when we advocated for 12 years at the Capitol," Bagley told the Star-Tribune. "Jobs, economic development at $1.5 million per day, and major events coming to the stadium."
Fifty-three percent of the stadium's construction is complete, Bagley told the Star-Tribune, as $430 million has been poured into the project to date. The project is nearing several milestones, including the installation of clear roof panels this month.
With a new stadium on the way, the Vikings are slated to host the Super Bowl in 2018 and the NCAA Men's Basketball Final Four in 2019. They have placed a bid to host the college football championship game in 2020.
