Report: McCoy skipped party thrown for him by former Eagles teammates

Published Dec. 15, 2015 10:50 a.m. ET

LeSean McCoy's return to Philadelphia was spoiled by a loss from the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, dropping to the Eagles, 23-20. After the game, McCoy displayed a great deal of frustration and anger, throwing his helmet and refusing to talk to the media. There was also a report that he didn't return to Buffalo with the team, which Rex Ryan wouldn't confirm nor deny.

One reason why he may not have gone back to Buffalo is because his former Eagles teammates, Jason Peters and Vinny Curry reportedly hosted a party for McCoy after the game. However, according to Howard Eskin of FOX29, McCoy snubbed his teammates and didn't attend the party.

It's obvious McCoy was extremely heated after the loss as he was unable to get the win over his former team. But the fact that he reportedly skipped the party that his friends threw for him is especially surprising.

McCoy proved that he has plenty of love for the city and his former teammates by kissing the Eagles logo at midfield, but the presence of Chip Kelly in Philadelphia puts a sour taste in his mouth. The relationship -- or lack thereof -- between McCoy and Kelly was well publicized leading up to the game.

Maybe Kelly was at the party, and that's why McCoy didn't show up ... but, probably not.
