Report: Favre, NFL meet over scandal

A person with knowledge of the situation says Brett Favre has spoken with an NFL security official about text messages and lewd photos he allegedly sent to a New York Jets employee two years ago when he played for the team.

The person spoke to The Associated Press on Tuesday on condition of anonymity because details of the meeting between Favre and NFL vice president for security Milt Ahlerich were not made public.

ESPN first reported the meeting, citing unidentified sources.

Commissioner Roger Goodell said previously the Vikings quarterback would meet this week with a league official about the messages and graphic photos he allegedly sent to Jenn Sterger, now a TV personality with the Versus network.
