Report: Eagles working on Sam Bradford contract

Published Apr. 29, 2015 10:02 a.m. ET

When it comes to the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback situation, speculation has run rampant. On Monday, ESPN's NFL Insider Chris Mortensen dropped an interesting nugget about the team's current projected starting quarterback Sam Bradford.

According to Mortensen, the Eagles are trying to work on a contract extension with Bradford as we speak. Here is exactly what Mortensen had to say about the developing situation.

Until a Bradford contract becomes official, you should take this report with a grain of salt. This is the draft misinformation period and teams are believed to be leaking information on purpose to fit in with their agenda. If a contract extension is not hammered out before the start of Thursday night's draft, Bradford will remain squarely on the trade block.
