Report: Dolphins WR Matthews (ribs) not likely to play vs. Giants

Rishard Matthews was in the midst of a great season before suffering a cracked rib against the New York Jets two weeks ago, forcing him to miss last week's game. According to the Sun Sentinel, it sounds like he'll be out this week, as well.
Matthews will likely need another week to recover from the rib injury and isn't expected to play on Monday night against the New York Giants.
In his place, DeVante Parker made his first career start against the Baltimore Ravens and caught three passes for 63 yards and a touchdown. Parker has emerged as a real threat in the Dolphins' offense, but getting Matthews back would certainly provide a lift for Ryan Tannehill.
If Matthews is indeed unable to play on Monday night, Parker will get his second start of the season.
