Tom Coughlin's days with the Giants might not be numbered.
Coughlin, who is entering the final year of his deal, is discussing a contract extension with the Giants, the New York Daily News reported Thursday.
Coughlin, who has guided the Giants to back-to-back losing seasons the past two years, has been the team's head coach since 2004. He led the Giants to Super Bowl titles after the 2007 and 2011 seasons.

The Giants have missed the playoffs the past three years, opened the season on a six-game losing streak in 2013 and suffered a seven-game skid during the middle of last season.
Coughlin is 96-80 with the Giants. Previously, he was 68-60 in eight seasons coaching the Jacksonville Jaguars.
