Report: Broncos' Moreno could miss game vs. Chiefs with bone bruise

Published Nov. 26, 2013 12:00 a.m. ET

Denver Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno, who left Gillette Stadium in a walking boot following Sunday's loss to the Patriots, will be listed as questionable for the team's divisional rematch with the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 13, The Denver Post reports.

Moreno racked up a career-high 224 rushing yards against the Patriots before suffering a significant bone bruise in his lower right leg that has put his status into question for Denver's next game.

If Moreno can't play, the Broncos will have to rely on rookie Montee Ball and veteran Ronnie Hillman. Rookie C.J. Anderson could also be in line for some carries.

Ball has recorded 262 yards and three touchdowns on 75 carries, while Hillman has 182 yards and a touchdown on 40 carries this season.
