Redskins' Trent Williams impressed by Giants' JPP

New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul had arguably his worst game in 2015 -- recording no quarterback pressures, hits or sacks -- but according to Washington Redskins left tackle Trent Williams, Pierre-Paul is still the same player he's gone to battle with for several years in a row.

"Like I said during the week, to me he looks like the same Jason Pierre-Paul, and even a little bit more athletic," Williams said to reporters after the game, per NJ Advanced Media. "He trimmed down. His pop off of the ball was better than last year. Obviously he's playing with a club on his hand, but I don't think he lets that stop him. You know he's been making plays all throughout the film.

"I knew I had to prepare for this matchup. We've had some many battles against each other, so I knew it was going to be a dogfight, and he played a good game."

Williams may have gotten the best of Pierre-Paul in last Sunday's Week 12 20-14 win for the Redskins over the Giants, but he is also one of the NFL's elite left tackles. Pierre-Paul has been thoroughly impressive since returning from his fireworks accident, and he will need to be a major factor down the stretch if the Giants want to get back into the NFC East playoff hunt.
