Redskins' Ryan Kerrigan voted as 78th-best player in the NFL by his peers

Washington Redskins outside linebacker Ryan Kerrigan had arguably his best season in the pros in 2014. On Wednesday night, the NFL Network revealed that Kerrigan was named the 78th-best player on their "top 100 players of 2015" countdown. The list is decided by an annual vote among Kerrigan's peers. The players decided this one.

Pro Football Focus uses another system to reveal their "top 101" list based on the game tape. After reviewing the tape of every single play from every single player, they decided that Kerrigan was the 85th-best player in 2014. Here is what they had to say about the Redskins' edge defender.

Kerrigan will make up one part of what looks to be a very talented front seven on paper for the Redskins. Across from Kerrigan, the Redskins hope that second-round draft pick Preston Smith can take over in Brian Orakpo's old role at outside linebacker. Their rebuilt front three down linemen include Jason Hatcher, Stephen Paea and Terrance Knighton.
