Ravens at Browns live stream: How to watch online

Robert Griffin III’s shoulder injury has already put the Cleveland Browns in the hole in the 2016 NFL season. The Week 2 visit from 1-0 AFC North rivals the Baltimore Ravens is hardly the perfect tonic for Cleveland’s pain.

Griffin was placed on IR after injuring his shoulder during Week 1’s loss on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles. Still, head coach Hue Jackson reportedly won’t trade for a new quarterback.

It means 14-year pro Josh McCown will take the reins. It’s a concern against a Ravens defense that flummoxed Tyrod Taylor and the Buffalo Bills on the opening weekend.

Baltimore threw a varied concoction of pressure, coverage and disguise at Taylor. Expect coordinator Dean Pees to have another box of tricks ready for McCown.

Yet, it could be Cleveland defensive coordinator Ray Horton who really decides this game. He’s a savvy play-caller who likes to send a steady diet of zone pressure. The heat usually comes from a 2-4-5 front Horton knows how to use effectively.

His primary focus should be limiting a vertical passing game that produced a host of big plays in Week 1. Ravens QB Joe Flacco still has a cannon for an arm, and in veteran Mike Wallace and second-year man Breshad Perriman, he has two wide receivers who can stretch the field.

The onus will be on star Browns cornerback Joe Haden and intriguing safety Jordan Poyer to hold together a secondary sure to be tested deep.

The new NFL season is only one week old, but the Browns already look in trouble. It’s going to take creative coaching on both sides of the ball to wrangle something extra from Cleveland’s depleted units.

Jackson may come to rely on McCown’s veteran experience. Meanwhile, Horton will need more aggressive scheming to mask some of his personnel deficiencies.

The Ravens weren’t overly impressive in Week 1, but they still look too strong for these Browns.
