Ravens agree to terms with center Casey Rabach

The Baltimore Ravens and veteran center Casey Rabach have agreed to terms on a two-year contract.

In getting Rabach, the Ravens delved into their past to shore up their thin offensive line. The 6-foot-4, 288-pounder spent four seasons with Baltimore after being drafted by the Ravens in the third round of the 2001 NFL draft.

Rabach played the last six seasons with the Washington Redskins before being released last week.

Rabach is expected to serve as the backup to 35-year-old Matt Birk, who has bad knees. Although Birk played in all 16 games last season, he has not practiced this week.

The 33-year-old Rabach can also play guard. He fills the void left by the departure of Chris Chester, who signed with the Redskins last week.
