Randy Moss isn't happy with Vikes

In 1998, Randy Moss made his rookie debut with the Minnesota Vikings donning No. 84.
That number became synonymous with the wide receiver during his time with the purple and gold — but now, more than a decade later, there is a new receiver wearing the number in Minnesota, and Moss is less than pleased.
Although he is not the first player to wear Moss’ old number with the Vikings, Minnesota’s first-round pick Cordarrelle Patterson is the newest to don it. Patterson wore No. 84 while playing for the University of Tennessee. Moss, who is now a commentator for FOX Sports 1, doesn’t believe he’s worthy of it at the professional level.
“That’s disrespectful to give a rookie my number,” Moss said on Sunday. “I don’t really believe in numbers but from a professional standpoint, I did make that number. He hasn’t proven anything yet but hey what can I say? I’m just Randy Moss sitting here in the studio.”
Moss may be confused as to how numbers work, but he’s at least doing a good job of keeping his name linked to what he “made.”
