ST. LOUIS (AP) St. Louis Rams general manager Les Snead says there's no urgency in the search to replace offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer, who left for a similar post at the University of Georgia.
Coach Jeff Fisher said after the season he anticipated no staff changes and also spoke highly of Schottenheimer's performance. He'd been with the Rams all three seasons under Fisher.
Snead said Wednesday the team had been aware Schottenheimer had talked to Georgia and thought talks accelerated the last few days.
The GM said Fisher likes to take his time naming and replacing assistants. Neither Fisher nor Schottenheimer were made available to St. Louis reporters.
