The Philadelphia Eagles will be without one of their cornerstone defensive players again Sunday.

For the third week in a row, defensive tackle Bennie Logan will be out of the Philadelphia Eagles‘ lineup.

The fourth-year lineman suffered a groin injury against the Washington Redskins in Week 6 and has officially been ruled out of the Eagles’ game against the New York Giants Sunday afternoon. Filling in for Logan will once again be Beau Allen, who’s been one of the unsung heroes of the Philadelphia defense this season.

Three other Eagles players will miss Sunday’s tilt in New York including guard Allen Barbre, linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill and defensive tackle Taylor Hart.

Despite enduring a fair share of criticism over the years, Barbre has taken a big step forward this season and his absence will surely be felt on the offensive line. Filling in for Barbre will be veteran guard/center Stefen Wisniewski, who, for what it’s worth, was ranked by Pro Football Focus as the third best pass-blocking center in the NFL last season. We’ll see if that efficiency can translate to guard.

Rookie Isaac Seumalo, selected in the third round (79th overall) in this year’s draft, will also be active for the first time this season as a backup.
