Peyton Manning watches Friday practice

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) Peyton Manning didn't practice Friday when the Denver Broncos held their first outdoor workout of the week.

Manning returned to practice Wednesday for the first time in a month but both that day and Thursday the Broncos went inside because of a heavy snowstorm and frigid temperatures.

On Friday, Manning wore a hoodie underneath his jersey and a cap as he watched Brock Osweiler run the first-string offense.

Osweiler will make his fifth consecutive start Sunday when the Broncos (10-3) visit the Steelers (8-5).

The Broncos are 3-1 under Osweiler, Manning's long-time apprentice who will enter unrestricted free agency after this season. They were 7-2 under Manning, who's already been ruled out for Sunday.
