Peyton Manning to appear on Letterman's final show

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning is one of the guests  on David Letterman's final "Late Show" episode.

Manning, who has appeared on Letterman's show several times over the past few years, is in New York and will take part in the taping on Wednesday afternoon.

Letterman, who is from Indianapolis, became friendly with the longtime quarterback during his days with the Indianapolis Colts.

Letterman announced last April that he would retire as a host this May, allowing Stephen Colbert to take over.
