Rahim Moore practiced against "The Sheriff" for three seasons as a Bronco.

Now a Texan, the safety said he's looking forward to hosting Peyton Manning and the Broncos as if it were a regular-season affair.

"It’s going to be a tough task because I know how Peyton operates," Moore told Nicki Jhabvala of the Denver Post. "He’s going to be ready, the whole team's going to be ready. So, so are we.”

Moore isn't alone in his anticipation. All eyes will be on Manning as he takes head coach Gary Kubiak's new offense for his first real test run.

It's all hands on deck in Houston. This sounds like no mere preseason game.

"Obviously going up against Manning is always a challenge," Texans CB Johnathan Joseph said. "Anytime you have that task ahead you kind of get yourself a little more focused.”

"You know, you’ve got to be ready mentally and it’s always a challenge (facing Peyton Manning),” added Texans linebacker Brian Cushing.

Manning could end up playing just 15 minutes of football. But he's a quarterbacking legend, and as his career winds down, players will act thusly.
