Pats fan John Krasinski: Edelman's return makes it 'whole new ballgame'

Injuries and poor play of late have some worried around Patriots nation, and with good reason. New England has lost four of its last six games and has been without Julian Edelman for the last seven games. Dont'a Hightower isn't completely healthy, and while Tom Brady's ankle appears to be fine, the Patriots are far from full strength.

That doesn't seem to bother Patriots fan and actor John Krasinski -- who played Jim on "The Office." He's still as calm, cool and collected as his character was on the show.

Krasinski discussed the Patriots' playoff prospects on ESPN's "His & Hers."

“I’m not concerned,” he said. “I mean, yes, that’s my pigheaded Boston ways to say I’m not concerned, but no, I think that -- we were just talking about it in the break -- I think Edelman’s coming back and if he does come back it’s a whole new ballgame.”

Edelman is expected to be ready for the Patriots' first playoff game, which will provide a huge boost to the offense. New England is 9-0 this season when he starts and just 3-4 without him. That's why Krasinski is confident his Pats will make another deep run in the postseason -- something he's witnessed several times as a Boston sports fan.

"It’s fun to be from a place that has so much tradition and legendary sort of sports stories to tell my daughter one day very soon," Krasinski said.
