The New England Patriots have filled the roster spot vacated by the recently released Brandon Spikes as they addressed the cornerback position.
The Patriots signed Derek Cox who didn't appear in a game in 2014. However, Cox does bring experience to the Patriots as he played his first four seasons for the Jacksonville Jaguars before playing the 2013 season with the San Diego Chargers.
Cox started 51 games throughout his career where he registered 241 tackles, 39 passes defended and 13 interceptions.
Cox joins a cornerback position with a lot of questions after losing Darrelle Revis, Brandon Browner, Kyle Arrington and Alfonzo Dennard to free agency this offseason.
