In a near repeat of last week’s collapse, the Carolina Panthers barely held on to defeat the New Orleans Saints, 23-20, on Thursday night.

It was a little too close for comfort but this time around the Carolina Panthers took home the win by a narrow 23-20 margin against the division rival New Orleans Saints on Thursday night.

Capitalizing on a few key turnovers from Drew Brees and the Saints offense, Carolina went into the half leading 20-3 and pushed that lead to a 20-pointer after the first drive of the second half. The defense could only hold off the high-flying New Orleans offense for so long though and the offense’s continual three-and-outs eventually led the Saints to bring it within three points before time ran short on their comeback attempt.

After their much needed rest, Carolina will head out to the west coast for a two week road trip against San Diego and Oakland.
