Panthers Pro Bowl LT Gross out against Falcons

Carolina Panthers Pro Bowl left tackle Jordan Gross is inactive for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons with a right ankle injury.
Gross injured his ankle in last week's win over Tampa Bay.
Travelle Wharton will start at left tackle for Gross. Wharton has some experience at left tackle, having filled in at that position when Gross broke his leg in 2009. Mackenzy Bernadeau will start at Whaton's regular spot at left guard.
Also inactive for the Panthers are quarterback Jimmy Clausen, cornerback Brandon Hogan, linebacker Jason Phillips, wide receiver Darvin Adams, linebacker Kion Wilson and defensive end Eric Norwood.
Atlanta's inactives include cornerbacks Brent Grimes and Kelvin Hayden, linebacker Stephen Nicholas, center Brent Romberg, quarterback John Parker Wilson, offensive lineman Kirk Chambers and defensive end Cliff Matthews.
