Panthers add 10 undrafted free agents, including two local players

After their five picks in the 2015 NFL draft, the Carolina Panthers and general manager Dave Gettleman went right back to work. According to Bryan Strickland of CarolinaPanthers.com, the team has officially signed 10 undrafted free agents, including two intriguing local prospects.
Possibly one of the best prospects from the group is former Clemson cornerback Garry Peters, who, as Strickland pointed out, received the highest rating among cornerbacks by Pro Football Focus. Peters was a part of the top defense in college football in 2014 and has the potential to be a major steal for Carolina.
The other "local" prospect comes from South Carolina in wide receiver Damiere Byrd. The former Gamecock raised a few eyebrows when he ran a 4.28 40-yard dash. Byrd could make for an interesting option to pair with Carolina's two towering young receivers in Kelvin Benjamin and Devin Funchess if he's able to transition his game to the NFL.
The rest of the list provided by Strickland includes the following:
Utah linebacker Brian Blechen
Florida defensive tackle Darious Cummings
James Madison safety Dean Marlowe
Southern defensive end Arthur Miley
Ohio State defensive end Steve Miller
Memphis defensive tackle Terry Redden
Morningside running back Brandon Wegher
Michigan punter Matt Wile
