Packers' Julius Peppers picked as Pro Bowl replacement

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 5:44 p.m. ET

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) Julius Peppers has been added to the Pro Bowl roster, making the team for the first time as a member of the Green Bay Packers.

The NFL announced on Monday that Peppers would replace Denver's Von Miller since the Broncos have advanced to the Super Bowl.

The 36-year-old Peppers is making his ninth trip to the Pro Bowl. He led Green Bay with 10 1/2 sacks in a season in which the Packers gave the veteran a little more rest and had a deep rotation of pass-rushing outside linebackers.

The Packers' Mike McCarthy and his assistants will coach one of the Pro Bowl teams this Sunday in Hawaii.
